We're embarking on a bold transformation program supported by over £3bn in strategic investment to digitise the Group, maximise our capabilities and transform our ways of working as we progress on our journey to build the Bank of the Future.

Do you want to grab a unique professional opportunity to drive product excellence and digital cultural change?

  • You'll ensurethere is a consistent design across all app journeys and that the design framework is enforced across the entire developer community.
  • You'll enable Customers to interact through a strong but seamless authentication experience, regardless of the channel, device or service they choose to use with us.
  • You'll deliver an Access experience which is seamless, quick and reliable, enabling different levels of authorisation and the ability to use our digital products even whilst the customer is offline.
  • While working on the future capabilities, you can actively pursue any opportunities to improve our existing performance and immediately deliver value.

You're comfortable with ambiguity and help to navigate the team through it using quiet confidence, gravity and experience. You enjoy growing less experienced product managers into future product leaders. You're comfortable challenging partners saying “No,” but also explaining why in terms that they understand. You'll foster a culture of curiosity and experimentation in which people are comfortable "trying things out" and learning quickly and safely. You'll encourage colleagues to move from "talking" to "doing". An adaptable and quick learner, absorbing information to keep pace with a changing landscape, you'll encourage with energy, passion and service to the team. You've a well-developed communication kit bag with extensive partner management experience

An understand the concept of App Modularization and its software design standard methodologies

Experience building a UI module based on an established design framework

Familiarity with Mobile Security standards (e.g. OWASP) and practices and are comfortable crafting the architecture of a complete client-side security model (including token-based authentication, PEN-testing, threat modelling)

Multidisciplinary working and the understanding that misalignment between engineering, product and commercial can lead to extensive waste and so have your own tool-kit to offer to mitigate these risks.

An appreciation that building internal products is challenging: your immediate users are your colleagues, but your end users are always your customers.

A knowledge that platforms often need organisational and cultural change to be delivered optimally, so you understand the need to engage and drive adoption and bring people with you.

A passion in technology in a technical way but you don’t necessarily need an engineering background for this role.

One of your key challenges will be to understand the implications that technology direction will have on the wider business from a Customer Satisfaction, Commercial and Compliance stand point. And are happy to influence accordingly, driving perfection through consensus.

Experience working with technical and cross-functional teams to deliver change
