Summary

This role will be working with a highly established IT Services company specialising in Infrastructure technology and services including IT lifecycle management, Managed Services, and Consulting & Project Services. Working within a dedicated team across a 24/7 shift pattern you will be responsible for providing 1st Line Support covering critical systems for our diverse range of customers across; Telecoms, Retail, Media and Financial Services. The Service Desk Analyst (1st Line) vacancy has become available due to organic growth. The ideal candidate will be either a graduate with service desk experience or a proven Service Desk Analyst looking for a role that will offer career progression, training and development opportunities.

You will work on a pattern of 4days Work followed by 4days REST. Each Work period is comprised of 12hour shifts covering either Day or Night. The assignment of shift type will rotate to ensure equal distribution across the year.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming service calls/mails/Alerts and make appropriate routing decisions
  • First point of contact for customer incidents reported by phone, e-mail or by remote monitoring tools.
  • Proactively drive tickets and workflow and assertively chase any tickets languishing in queues
  • Monitor SLAs, escalate (and where possible help expedite) any threatened SLA breaches
  • Complete service desk tasks and administration as defined by the business
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customer contacts, colleagues and management taking task guidance from the Service Desk Team Leader.

Your role

You will continually explore and look for better ways of accelerating testing and increasing quality through automation. As an architect, you will be responsible for gathering automation requirements, defining the approach and securing stakeholder buy-in. You will also code the framework and coach junior Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) to develop tests and expand the framework where appropriate.

Your role
You will have a pivotal role in implementing transformational contact center technologies and help customers driving modernization of the operations and customer experience leveraging cloud based contact centre technologies including the Amazon Connect services.

Depending on your experience and skills, your responsibilities will include one or more of the following:
  • Architecting and building large-scale contact center solutions, which integrate smoothly in cloud and hybrid operating models.
  • Advising on competing solution and product choices aligned to the key business requirements.

Your professional experience
Your background will include experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Ability to demonstrate how cloud contact centre technologies can be leveraged to drive enhancements in business process and performance, support broader digital transformation and underpin improvements in customer experience
  • Experience in integrating cloud contact centre products with the broader enterprise infrastructure and communication technologies
  • Proven knowledge of Contact Center technologies including Interactive Voice Response (IVR), Voice Biometrics, Natural Language Processing, Telephony Integration CTI, Automatic Call Distribution ACD, Call Recording, etc.
  • Experience designing and building integrations across WFM, CRM, Unified Communications, and voice services.
  • Experience with Amazon Connect and the breadth of functionality offered, including how that compares with other leading cloud contact centre technologies
  • Experience with AWS technologies such as AWS Lambda, Amazon Lex, DynamoDB, S3, Sagemaker etc and how they may be leverage alongside Amazon Connect to enhance contact centre performance
  • Experience with modern Web technologies including React and Node.js as well as REST API design on modern web stacks such as Node.js or Python

Your role
You will have a pivotal role in implementing transformational contact center technologies and help customers driving modernization of the operations and customer experience leveraging cloud based contact centre technologies including the Amazon Connect services.

  • Architecting and building large-scale contact center solutions, which integrate smoothly in cloud and hybrid operating models.

Your professional experience
Your background will include experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Ability to demonstrate how cloud contact centre technologies can be leveraged to drive enhancements in business process and performance, support broader digital transformation and underpin improvements in customer experience
  • Experience in integrating cloud contact centre products with the broader enterprise infrastructure and communication technologies
  • Proven knowledge of Contact Center technologies including Interactive Voice Response (IVR), Voice Biometrics, Natural Language Processing, Telephony Integration CTI, Automatic Call Distribution ACD, Call Recording, etc.
  • Experience designing and building integrations across WFM, CRM, Unified Communications, and voice services.

As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You'll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You'll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what's being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
  • Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
  • Working proficiency in developmental toolsets

  • Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement
  • This developer role shall be part of a team working on the strategic buildup of the future state reference data technology platform for the various lines of businesses. Candidates will be expected to possess and demonstrate solid experience with SDLC lifecycle, Agile, Java and RDBMS/SQL database skills
Technical Skills:
  • Experience in Core Java, J2EE frameworks
  • Strong fundamentals in data structures, caching, multithreading, messaging and asynchronous communication
  • Strong knowledge of Internet technologies including REST and/or Web Services/SOA
  • Strong knowledge of RDBMS/SQL (Esp. Oracle, PLSQL)
  • Java Frameworks (Spring, Hibernate); JMS, Junit, Test driven development.
  • Must be comfortable with industry standard build/Development tools including: Maven, Ant, Jenkins, Eclipse, IntelliJ
  • Continuous Integration and automated deployment experience for multi-branched, multi-module projects.
