The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities. We are looking for Oracle/ETL/Java Tech lead with experience in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications. The candidate should have extensive data analysis experience with in-depth knowledge of financial products and terminology. The candidate will be working closely with various Citi internal business groups like Treasury, Risk, CTI Analytics, Asset Allocation, Investments and Markets, etc. to analyze business requirements for Treasury Investment management System and design solutions
Responsibilities:
- Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements
- Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
- Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint
- Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
- Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
- Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Partner with CTI (Citi Treasury Investments) business to analyse and refine business requirements.
- Lead development teams with diverse technology skillset based out US, UK and India
- Liaise with various Treasury and related business groups and various technology support groups within Citi.
- Design highly efficient and scalable ETL and database solutions to integrate securities data sourced from various internal systems globally.
- Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
- Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills through written and oral communication required to effectively interface with senior Citi business managers
Qualifications:
- Strong functional knowledge of Investment Securities and related financial products.
- Strong functional knowledge of Corporate Treasury and its processes.
- Extensive Oracle database experience with enterprise level applications.
- Extensive experience in Ab Intio
- Unix Shell scripts
- Autosys experience
- Knowledge of code repositories and release management tools.
- Knowledge of reporting tools like MicroStrategy
- Prior experience with Citi’s processes and applications especially in Corporate Treasury area.
- Variety of database, analytical and programming skills
- Knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization
- Experience in Ab Initio development
- Experience in unit and integration testing is required
- Good analytical skills.
- Ability to guide in design discussions and problem solving sessions.
- Experience designing/implementing enterprise applications.
- Ability to liaise with offshore team members globally and manage their work slate.
- Ability to work with technology support groups and other systems.
- Strong data analysis and investigative skills.
- An appetite for taking on challenges and leveraging new technologies.
- Ability to resolve multiple issues in a timely manner.
- Excellent debugging and problem solving skills.
- High level of initiative.
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage team tasks
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree in Technology or Engineering
- Master’s degree preferred
