We are looking for an exceptional front end developer to take the lead working on an award winning website. Bringing your enthusiasm and experience with large scale development, you will be using a variety of javascript-based technologies to evolve the platform and provide real business benefit. You will both support and grow the existing infrastructure and have the freedom to try new things.

You will be expected to work with and support other developers with a wide variety of experience, mentor more junior developers, contribute to team planning, and drive architectural discussions, as well as ensure the needs of the department and business are met. As a senior developer, you will be working with other teams in an Agile environment learning the needs of the business to ensure the best user experience possible.

Required skills:

  • React - extensive experience
  • Large-scale application development experience
  • JQuery, especially AJAX
  • Api development with REST and/or GraphQL
  • HTML5 & CSS Design ability
  • Test driven development with any JS test framework

These would be a plus:

  • Working knowledge of a CSS preprocessor, i.e. SASS
  • Continuous integration using Git and Jenkins
  • Microservices experience or interest
  • Bootstrap CSS Framework
  • React Native
  • NoSQL DB experience
  • Serverless applications, e.g. with AWS Lambda & S3
  • Experience with templating, e.g. handlebars, jade, etc.
