Implementation Engineer - DCS Airline Applications

Implementation Engineer urgently required to work on a contract basis in West London.

You will be responsible for defining migration strategies and producing implementation plans, driving the system configuration and setup as well as supporting the customers in systems testing and in planning and executing the migration. You will also manage and oversee the entire project life cycle for small product/service deliveries.

It is essential to have a functional understanding of airline systems (DCS, Inventory, Reservations, Ticketing) along with experience on working with airline migration projects involving other airline systems and a track record in business/system analysis within airline systems. Previous experience in IT project management is desired.

The role will involve

  • Be an SME and system administrator of a finance auto-reconciliation software.
  • Further develop the software with new functionality as required

  • Liaise with management of various finance departments to understand their requirements, documenting these as required and then complete the required build

A Software Engineer with experience of SQL Management Studio and Server Infrastructure skills is required by our client based in Newmarket, Cambridgeshire. A salary of up to £30,000 basic is available.

As Software Engineer you will support the day to day user faults and troubleshooting issues across the helpdesk issues. You will work in a Scientific environment covering laboratory systems and as such will ideally offer knowledge of Excel and VBA to be able to provide reports for the bespoke Laboratory Management System. Any knowledge of SQL Server and SQL Management Studio is highly desirable.

Your role as Software Engineer will be to maintain the systems and train new users as well as increase the efficiency and functionality of applications. Similar experience supporting a laboratory systems is useful, but similar web-based systems will be fine as training will be provided.
