About you

  • A range of experience in the deployment for two or more of the following industry solutions - Oracle P6, Ares Prism, Aconex, Tableau, Power BI or All in One Project Controls or other Project Controls Solutions.
  • Proven experience of working within a professional, fast moving and challenging environment
  • Strong account management and sales skills with the ability to clearly establish customer need, translate benefits and convert opportunities to successful business outcomes
  • Ability to set and drive account management, sales and general management activity
  • Experience of delivering a programme of discrete projects through others

What you will be doing

As an Application Support Analyst you will be provide second level problem determination and support services for all Web applications both in live and test environments, liaising closely and working in collaboration with the IT Service Desk, Incident and Change Management Teams, as well as third party suppliers to resolve incidents & problems. You will be expected to build and maintain knowledge of all TUI-UK production Web applications and their interfaces, interdependencies and how they support the business.

As part of your operational support responsibilities you will be expected to define, implement and maintain operational procedures. You will make use of monitoring and automation tools to provide performance & availability management across all Web applications and systems, identify any trends and take appropriate actions to ensure performance risks are mitigated or resolved or proposals to do so are made to senior management. You will monitor incident queues and respond to incidents in a timely manner, ensuring these are investigated and resolved in line with target SLA/OLAs. As part of this process you will monitor system alerts and respond to any that require attention. You will be responsible for web SSL certificate management and web domain name management.

You will manage the execution of end to end service performance tests on a quarterly basis to validate production capacity for our busy trading periods. You will be expected to provide out-of-hours, on-call support coverage on a rota basis between 1800-0800 on weekdays and 24hrs during weekends.  You will take action to ensure any identified risks are mitigated or resolved or make proposals to address these to the relevant stakeholders. You will work closely with the Problem and Incident Management Team to identify the root causes of major impact incidents, recommend & implement permanent resolutions to prevent reoccurrences.

This will require collaboration with Development Teams where code changes are required to resolve incidents and ensure these are released into production in a controlled manner. You will be responsible for adhering to Change and Configuration management processes, ensuring all application changes are reviewed for quality, rigorous testing and contingency/back-out planning, and that any supporting documentation is fully updated and to the agreed quality standard prior to implementation.

The IT Database & Middleware Infra Delivery & Design Manager will be responsible for all proactive design and management activities associated with the Our clients Data base & Middleware technology, acting as an escalation point for the outsourced L2-4 support function. Role Specific Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Accountable for Planning & Roadmap for Database & Middleware, including ongoing refresh and enhancements of platforms in line with Enterprise Architectural standards
  • Accountability for implementation of database & middleware technology, including technical debt remediation and ongoing enhancements, delivered by the client or 3rd party resource
  • Definition of scope of third party contracts (both operational and project change SoWs)
  • Accountable for operational stability of database & middleware, providing input to RCA with Problem Management, and accountability for remedial action

  • Management of patching & monitoring strategy / policy for Database & Middleware, including working with the outsource partner to plan and manage the patching

We are looking for an Infrastructure Solutions Architect to work at the core of the Internet. This is a new role, responsible for providing a combined function of Solution and Technical architecture for the on-premise, hybrid and cloud IT infrastructure services and systems for both our client and its customers.

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:

C# Back-end Developers will be involved in designing and implementing server-based applications for travel software solutions using Microsoft technologies with Oracle as the back-end database

2-year contract

£350-400 Daily!

Top 7 Essential Skills:

*Must have manufacturing plant experience
*Working knowledge of C# (VS2010 and later)
*C# Linq (Lambda expressions)
*Oracle database (writing and understanding SQL)
*Real time asynchronous event driven processing in an engineering environment
*TCP/IP Communications protocols
*Familiarity with XML for message transmission and data repository.
