My client, a highly successful and growing company who develops software for the holiday letting industry is looking for 2 Graduate Web Developers. The role will involve the following:

  1. Assisting in the programming, development and maintenance of my client’s many e-commerce booking sites and in house booking system’s API - using PHP
  2. Supporting customers and affiliates using our API for their e-commerce sites
  3. Be good at making tea
  4. Planning, testing and implementing new web and API releases
  5. Helping develop other web-based systems - to support our other business functions.
  6. Maintaining accurate manual and computerised records with regard to the IT function
  7. To participate in any training programme relevant to your job as agreed by yourself and the company
  8. And the most important one… to carry out any reasonable task as required by the company from time to time!
  1. Developing queries and database development in MySQL or another SQL database e.g. SQL Server, Oracle.
  1. To ensure my client’s software are represented in a positive and professional manner to customers, enquirers, homeowners, suppliers and visitors and any other person who you may come into contact with in the office or elsewhere on the company’s business.
  2. Following company procedures as shown in Staff Handbook and adhering to company and/or Health & Safety rules, regulations and legislation

To be successful, you should have either a relevant degree in Computer Science preferably with some experience of developing in PHP, MySQL, CSS, HTML etc

As important is that you are a highly motivated individual who works well under your own initiative. You will also be very comfortable working within a dynamic team. A flexible attitude to work is a must, as well as the ability to work to tight deadlines - sometimes under a little pressure!

You must also have an eye for detail, as well as enjoy seeing projects right through until the very finishing touches are completed. You must also be a good communicator and enjoy supporting, helping and working with other people.

  • Maintain good relationships with all internal and external customers, ensuring that all issues/incidents are appropriately escalated

The Role
My client is looking to appoint a back-end developer to be responsible for the development, design, building, documenting and associated technical support of financial applications.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing applications and supporting them through multiple product lifecycle environments, concentrating mainly on development.

An opportunity for you to join a global Cambridge based company, who is looking to hire an Application Integration Engineer on a permanent basis. You will be joining the application services team, delivering technical solutions and maintaining the application environment in line with the required service levels. As part of this role, you will be designing, integrating and implementing IT applications for both on premises and cloud based data centres.

What will you be doing on a daily basis?
Supporting on the integration of systems that operate between the client and any 3rd party vendors or cloud hosting platforms
Working as part of a team leading on the design and implementation of new software and systems across the IT environment
Providing effective support and troubleshooting when issues arise with new applications integrating with current services
Maintaining the current working environment, from both a hands-on support and SME point of view as required

What experience do you need to have?
Demonstrable commercial experience within an integration role, either from a support or project perspective
Knowledge of integration technologies, including Tomcat, Apache, and IIS
