    Although this role would not need to be hands on with development the vast majority of the time, the responsibility of the architect to deliver solutions requires them to stay close to the code, working acrosos the full software delivery life cycle and with a range of stakeholders to understand requirements and create specifications, then leading Software Engineers in the development and implementation of the software, performing code reviews and working closely with testers and other technical staff through the life cycle.

    Experience of some but not all of the following technologies will be needed:

  • Programming languages: C#, C/C++, Matlab/Simulink.

  • Data modelling and relational database technologies: MSSQL and NoSQL, Elastic (ELK), Mongo.

  • Service oriented architecture (SOA), Micro-services, event driven architecture and test driven design.
