You will join a team of 5 – Grace (Product Manager), Isabel, Stu, Tom & Phil (Engineers) in acquiring prices for Hotels in real-time. We have a relatively high throughput system comprising of a number of Typescript services deployed on K8s that use Postgres, Redis, MongoDB and RabbitMQ. Pricing information continues to be key for Hoteliers to compete with Online Travel Agents, and as our longest running product there are many exciting opportunities to evolve both our business and the hotel industry.

As a business, we experiment often and are not afraid to explore and build new products or indeed kill old features. We’re looking for someone who cares about building the right thing and the smallest thing that proves value, questioning the importance of the work and not developing in a vacuum. Good ideas come from all of us and it’s equally important that Engineers are product and customer-centric.

While our stack tends to be Node.js, Typescript, React, MongoDB & Kubernetes, we value choosing the right tool for the job. We’re keen on learning what helps us accelerate rather than simply gaining knowledge of specific tools or languages.

Everyone has a sponsor to advise and help them progress in their career at Triptease and beyond. We have plenty of opportunities to socialise, e.g. we went to Madrid for our Xmas party, we have sharing lunches, yoga and meditation, tech book club, weekly company-wide showcases and hack days.

About you:
We like working with people who are empathetic, who can communicate their ideas well and bring their team along with them. We think Engineering is first and foremost about working well together and that autonomy is central to this.

You will be joining a self-managing team, who are responsible for taking ideas from conception to running and maintaining them in production. We release multiple times per day and everyone in the team is involved in planning and prioritising what we work on. It also means that our Engineers are trusted to care about the quality, maintainability and delivery of software. We value Agile and XP practices, pair-programming, using TDD and refactoring as we go along.

What we offer:

  • A competitive salary, share options and benefits including a self-development budget and an annual offsite
  • The opportunity to join our team of product engineering superstars!
Pace. We’re growing. Get on board fast and be part of the journey. No two days are the same. You won’t get bored
  • Hands-on experience. Got a great idea? You can make it happen. Don’t get stuck in a grey cubicle
