Software Developer / Software Engineer

Our client is in need of an experienced Software Development Engineer to develop ongoing and greenfield web development projects.

This role will be responsible the development and delivery of software applications, reporting to the senior leadership team. You will be accountable for the development life cycle of software projects from supporting the analysis through to implementation.

Key Accountabilities:

Software Development resources:

  • Responsible for the allocation of resources to meet agreed priorities

  • Record appropriate metrics and provide analysis and reports

  • Delivering project management services for implementation of technical projects

  • Development of policies, standards and procedures for software development environment

  • Ensuring support and training is provided to Software Development team

    Development of software solutions to support external commercial opportunities and deliver effective internal solutions:

  • Management of full software development life-cycle within the business unit

  • Development, enhancement and support of internal and external web based software solutions using C#, ASP.Net, SQL Server

  • Development, enhancement and support of applications and services using C# and Microsoft .Net.

  • Support development of systems requirement / functional requirement specifications as required

  • Defining and researching new software developments to support business requirements, including enhanced solutions to aid commercial business activities.

    Management of technical document production:

  • Ensuring the production of technical documentation and support notes for new software applications

  • Managing the enhancement of code documentation for existing applications

    Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience of web based software development, including SQL Server, C#, web based solutions (ASP.NET / web services)

  • Experience/knowledge in e-commerce solutions and secure means of data transfer between suppliers & customers

  • Implementation of SQL Server databases and maintenance/support

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft development products

Are you an accomplished professional that is looking for a new challenge within a top rising fintech challenger app? Do you have experience in creating AWS and GCP (GKE) cloud infrastructure using Packer, Terraform and Ansible? Have you built fully automated CI/CT/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Github, and Jira?

We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to define our core banking platform using Infrastructure as Code and to deliver it using a fully automated approach.

Initially reporting directly to our Chief Technology Officer, your primary tasks will be:

  • Designing a highly available, scalable, secure, optimised, and compliant core banking cloud infrastructure
  • Capturing and defining the cloud infrastructure design as code using Packer, Terraform, and Ansible
  • Integrating Jira, Github, and Jenkins to build a robust automated workflow that fully satisfies QA requirements
  • Working with QA to automate the execution and reporting of application, systems, security, acceptance, compliance, and performance testing
  • Debating and supporting analysis required to take informed decisions on the systems architecture
  • Writing beautiful, elegant, easy to maintain, and understandable infrastructure code
  • Documenting and describing your decisions in diagrams and comments
  • Maintaining the end-to-end service delivery cycle

As a core part of our Technology Team, you will be asked to participate in interviews and will have an influence in hiring plans for teams working around you. You will also be required to provide input and interact with the front-end, back-end, security and business stakeholders.

Job description

Platform Engineer - London - Flexible Working / Part Remote 

 As a Platform Engineer you will report to the Head of Platform, helping set the strategic direction for Platform and related tooling. This will see the Engineer coming in being able to provide infrastructure expertise to Appsbroker's delivery teams, and advise on best practices.

You will design and build automated processes to ensure consistent, repeatable deployments of cloud infrastructure and container based solutions.

As a Platform Engineer, you will be asked to evaluate, and document any new tooling that is identified on the Platform Tools Roadmap. You will ensure that all infrastructure designs are built with security and availability as primary concerns to meet the customer requirements.

Skill Set 

  • Architectural Experience in one of more Major Cloud Platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
