Lead JavaScript/ReactJS Software Engineer (VP)


As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You’ll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You’ll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what’s being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you’ll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.

Responsibilities include:

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical skills required

  • Participate in architecture and design discussions with the technical team and interface with other teams to create efficient and consistent solutions (UI/API).

  • Work as part of an Agile scrum team analyzing, planning,  designing, developing, testing, debugging, optimizing, improving, documenting, and deploying complex software applications.

  • Excellent understanding of SDLC processes and automated tools, spanning requirements /issue management, defect tracking, source control, build automation, test automation and release management.

  • Ability to communicate complex issues in a crisp and concise fashion to multiple levels of management

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects coupled with the flexibility to quickly adapt to ever-evolving business needs

  • Design, develop, test, and document scalable, high-quality business applications

  • Recommend alternate approaches, analyze impacts, and provide sizing estimates Collaborate with other cross platform team members to build effective integrations

  • Participate in design sessions and code reviews
  • Work with business requirement stakeholders to design, develop and refine the user experience of an application

  • Responsible for delivery of assigned module/ components /phases of a project

 
Qualifications
 
  • Strong hands-on UI development experience
  • Advanced proficiency in programming languages JavaScript, React/Redux, Web socket, Open Fin, JavaScript based debugging, CSS, HTML5

  • Web based real-time grids with large dataset (examples – ag-grid, hyper grid etc.)

  • User Experience (UX) knowledge
  • Familiarity with automation tools, such as Autosys or Control-M

  • Experience with JIRA,  Confluence
  • GitHub or BitBucket and CI/CD with Jenkins & Deployment tool

  • Experience on Linux based systems and basic shell scripting

  • Analytical skills to design complex systems to address business needs

  • Advanced understanding of architecture and design across all systems 

  • Must be able to communicate clearly, effectively on both technical and business level

  • Technical writing / documentation, and presentation skills

 
Advantageous
  • Design & develop robust and scalable service based solutions

  • Experience of working in the Financial Services industry is helpful, particularly in Collateral Management, OTC Cleared and/or Bilateral Derivatives

  • Exposure of NoSQL technologies such as Cassandra
