As the sole Site Reliability Engineer at this scale-up technology company you will focus on the security, reliability and performance of the core product, sold to major retailers and leisure providers to enable customer referral incentives. Key responsibilities as an SRE will include improving how the teams deliver software into production; identifying opportunities for improvement of the client facing product (e.g. improving MySQL queries, helping to ensure a new feature is ready to scale or reducing infrastructure costs); proactively identifying any security risks and troubleshooting as and when required. You'll be working with a modern technology stack which is a Symfony 2 application deployed to AWS, managed by Terraform and SaltStack with multiple releases per week which you'll help to make more frequent. They've started to move towards Docker, Kubernetes and EKS.
