Purpose of Role

We are looking for a Big Data Engineer that will work on the collecting, storing, processing, and analyzing of huge sets of data. The primary focus will be on developing and implementing optimal solutions for these purposes, then maintaining and monitoring them. You will also be responsible for integrating them with the architecture used across the company.


  • Selecting and integrating any Big Data tools and frameworks required to provide requested capabilities

The data team, forms part of the Lab. You’ll be providing support to the feature, product, business, design and financial teams, making sure they have all the relevant information and risk analysis available to perform their daily tasks. They all need to understand the impact of their work and decisions, your role will be to help surface the data that makes this possible. You’ll be working with the Yoti data pipeline to ensure that data is gathered quickly, correctly and very importantly, in a secure and privacy protecting manner. There will be ad-hoc data migration jobs to create in order to assist in planning and retrospectives.

How you will contribute: 

The Data Platforms team is responsible for all aspects of data technology delivery, including

As the architect of this team, you will be responsible for defining data models, sourcing data feeds and delivering data to service the publisher team's data needs and ensuring the proposed solutions and designs are aligned to business requirements and data strategy.
