THE COMPANY:

An established media client is looking for an interim VP of Engineering to work on their brand-new project. They have huge US and EU coverage with covering some of the biggest sporting events for customers across the world. They are now establishing their London office and are looking for an interim CTO/ VP of Engineering.

THE ROLE:

As an interim VP of Engineering, you will be working alongside some of the best talent to strategically plan the build of a platform to host this companies new product.

You will help decide what technologies are best to use and what infrastructure needs building to ensure that their new application to get produced.

You will be introducing a Data team, Software team and DevOps to make sure the platform scales automatically once built.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Building and scaling up a team and solutions from the ground up
  • Working on a greenfield project to build software solutions and decide the best business approaches to development
  • Setting up road maps for the business and the development of the software architecture and development
  • Working closely with stakeholders to understand and decide requirements
  • Working with the software, product ownership, data engineering teams in order to lead the project and deliver solutions on time.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven commercial experience working to scale up and road map both big and small teams
  • Experience working in both multi-national and smaller companies leading a variety of teams
  • Development background within software or data engineering
  • Experience working with Cloud technologies such as AWS
  • Strong technical understanding of software, Big Data and solution architecture

They have large amounts of Big Data and have just started their DevOps journey!

THE ROLE:

As a DevOps Engineer you will be building Cloud Infrastructure from scratch using AWS, Terraform and Kubernetes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Developing AWS Infrastructure for a greenfield project
  • Build containers using Kubernetes and Docker for AWS clusters and Code as Infrastructure
  • Automating CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Ansible
  • Work alongside the Data Engineering and Software Engineering team


YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong commercial experience working on greenfield AWS projects such as building out Infrastructure
  • Commercial experience using Kubernetes and Docker to build containers and clusters
  • Hands on coding with Terraform and Ansible
